- Female Journalist: ANGELINA… by admin
Angelina Jolie’s revelation that she had a double mastectomy to reduce her chances of breast cancer has provoked a cruel backlash online.
Some have accused her of being an attention seeker — a former sex goddess who’s past her sell-by date and is now trying to use her medical problems to boost her public profile.
Others — and I fall firmly into this category — believe it was incredibly courageous to share the details of her dramatic surgery, especially when it’s not yet over. She is due to have a hysterectomy and her ovaries removed to reduce her risk of ovarian cancer.Online backlash: Some have accused Angelina Jolie of being an attention seeker – a former sex goddess who’s past her sell-by date and is now trying to use her medical problems to boost her public profile
She is doing it for her children, she says. She did not want them to suffer as she did losing her mother to breast cancer when she was just 56.
But perhaps the most striking thing Angelina said was that she did not feel any less of a woman after having her breasts removed. ‘I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.’
Stirring words, but ones, I fear, which may have a rather hollow ring for the 122,000 British women who have mastectomies, breast surgery or hysterectomies each year. For most, these operations herald a staggering diminution of one’s sense of self and femininity, not to mention the crippling fatigue and terrible depression that often follows such radical surgery. The best thing Angelina can do is to acknowledge what a traumatic ordeal she has been through and take time off work to rest and recover
Not Angelina, apparently. Four days after her breasts were removed, we are told she was working with ‘bountiful energy’ on a new film project, while six surgical drains dangled from her chest, fastened to an elastic belt.
She even accompanied Foreign Secretary William Hague to the Congo to highlight rape in war zones.
Brave or deluded? If Angelina wanted to set a more honest example, she would not behave like Lara Croft. She would slow down, take time to recuperate and nurture herself back to full strength over a period of months.
To imply, as she has done, that it is possible to bounce back in a few days places an unfair burden on those women who struggle physically and mentally in the aftermath of such major and life-changing surgery.
Instead of the sympathy and understanding they deserve from bosses, colleagues, friends and family, there is a worry they will now be expected to ‘bounce back’ in a few days, too.
I’ve no doubt Angelina is sincere in her devotion to her children, but the best thing she could do for them — and for all families in the same position — is to acknowledge what a traumatic ordeal she has been through and take time off work to rest and recover and just be a mum. I, for one, would admire her all the more.
Kate Moss says her beauty regime is little more than plunging her face into icy water. Any chance she could keep it there?
Becks was the Blair of football
Announcing his retirement, David Beckham says he’s hurt that some people don’t celebrate what a brilliant footballer he was and instead remember the ‘other things’.
What ‘other things’? That affair with Rebecca Loos? The red card for kicking Diego Simeone in the 1998 World Cup? The over-stuffed pants? Or just the awesome greed in promoting Brand Beckham?
Take your pick.
His wife Victoria says he is ‘not just an inspiration to myself and our children, but millions of people worldwide’.
To millions more, Beckham will always be the Tony Blair of football — a good-looking and gifted bloke who, spurred on by a ghastly and grasping wife, morphed into a preening egotist who was far more interested in making millions on the global stage than on public service to his country.
Throwing in the scowlSurprise: Jennifer, John Cleese’s fourth wife, was pictured at the premiere of The Great Gatsby looking pencil-thin, scowling and wearing an extravagant designer gown
When John Cleese fell in love with jewellery designer Jennifer Wade it was because she was a happy, jeans-wearing, down-to-earth girl — albeit one who was 32 years his junior. So how surprising to see Jennifer, now his fourth wife, at the premiere of The Great Gatsby looking pencil-thin, scowling and wearing an extravagant designer gown.
I do hope Cleese remembered to get a proper pre-nup this time.

+ The Beeb was forced to make a grovelling apology for its disgraceful Newsnight programme that wrongly accused the Armed Forces’ charity Help For Heroes of misusing funds.
The charity estimated the resulting damaging publicity cost them £100,000 in lost donations. Forget the apology, the BBC should refund them the money.
+ Alan Hansen quits Match Of The Day, for which he was paid £1.5 million, just as we learn Gary Lineker has renegotiated a seven-figure deal. What a pointless waste of our money. You could get an orangutan to present a football show and men would still watch it in their millions.
Only one low-ranking social worker has been sacked after six men were imprisoned for grooming, trafficking, drugging and repeatedly raping girls as young as 11. One mother cried: ‘Someone needs to take the blame.’
And she’s right. The villains of this piece are not just the men who abused her daughter, but the social workers who turned a blind eye despite the wealth of evidence and the police who failed to protect the young victims even when they found the courage to report their abuse.
And yet, I can’t help feeling that some of the blame must also lie with the mothers and fathers of these girls.
Yes, as one of the victims’ parents describe in the Mail today, the girls were often impossibly hard to control. But the first line of defence for any child must surely be their family — however difficult that duty may be.

No one saw the sign that said, “No White People Allowed After Dark.” Maybe because it was dark. Or maybe it did not exist.
So when a white family pulled into a Baton Rouge gas station in a black neighborhood 10 p.m. Sunday night after a Mother’s Day celebration, they had no idea they were in danger. But they were.
Donald Dickerson, a black man, told them so, right before the assault began that would leave the father with a broken face, the mother unconscious, and the daughter badly bruised.
All because they were the wrong color in the wrong place.
WAFB television news captures the crime from police reports. The spokesman for the police department said a man wearing a pink shirt was in line trying to pay for gas when Donald Dickerson, 41, started making fun of him, leading to an argument.
“The defendant (Dickerson) approached the white male victim,” the police report stated.
It went on to read, “the defendant told him he was in the wrong neighborhood and he was not going to make it out.” The victim said that’s when he “was punched and knocked to the ground.”
At this time, his wife got out of the car and ran to help her husband. The victim said, “he continued to struggle with the defendant and was eventually knocked unconscious, which later he awoke in the hospital.”
His wife told police, “after running to help her husband, she remembers falling to the ground and (being) knocked unconscious.”
According to a close family friend, that’s when the couple’s teenage daughter got out of the car to check on her parents and, “observed a female punch her mother in the face, when her mother then fell to the concrete, hitting her head on the surface.”
The daughter was also punched in the face.
The man suffered a broken eye socket, a broken nose and several cuts on the face, said the police report.
Dickerson was charged with a felony and taken to jail. The other two involved in the assault were charged with misdemeanors, given tickets at the scene, and released.
No one has been charged with a hate crime.
Police have not identified the victim or his family. So no one has had a chance to ask if he was aware he was in a black neighborhood. Or if he ever heard of Routine Activities Theory. Otherwise known as R.A.T.
R.A.T. played a central role last year in a Chicago court room where the city had to pay a white woman $22.5 million after she was arrested, then released into a black neighborhood in Chicago.
She was assaulted and tossed – or jumped – from a seven-story building, leaving her with permanent brain damage.
Harvard sociology professor Robert Sampson, one of the country’s top experts on R.A.T., testified the R.A.T. made it clear that a white person in a black neighborhood can reasonably expect to meet with violence.
The judge explained R.A.T. by saying the victim “was a white female in a predominantly black, poor neighborhood (and) she had a much higher risk of predatory victimization.”
Judge Frank Easterbrook went on: “She was lost, unable to appreciate her danger and dressed in a manner to attract attention. She is white and well-off while the local population is predominantly black and not affluent, causing her to stand out as a person unfamiliar with the environment and, thus, a potential target for crime.”
The city said R.A.T. was thinly disguised racial profiling and had no business at trial. But at the trial, R.A.T and race were everywhere – no matter how hard the city worked to keep it out. No matter how dedicated local media were to ignoring it.
Easterbrook said the situation was so transparently dangerous that Chicago police “might as well have released her into the lions’ den at the Brookfield Zoo.”
There is no indication that Dickerson knew anything about a competing theory called Critical Race Theory, popularized by one of Barack Obama’s professors at Harvard, Derrick Bell.
This theory says that white people, good or bad, are racist. As is every institution in America. Permanently.
For the more academically inclined, this explanation from the UCLA School of Public Affairs may be more complete:
Critical Race Theory recognizes that racism is engrained in the fabric and system of the American society. The individual racist need not exist to note that institutional racism is pervasive in the dominant culture. This is the analytical lens that CRT uses in examining existing power structures. CRT identifies that these power structures are based on white privilege and white supremacy, which perpetuates the marginalization of people of color.
This theory is popular with educators at all levels of school.
At first, the R.A.T. and C.R.T. might seem conflicting. But if you think about it, it is plain they both predict a similar result for white people who accidentally end up in black neighborhoods. At night. When there are no warning signs.

(Space.com) The moon has a new hole on its surface thanks to a boulder that slammed into it in March, creating the biggest explosion scientists have seen on the moon since they started monitoring it.
The meteorite crashed on March 17, slamming into the lunar surface at a mind-boggling 56,000 mph (90,000 kph) and creating a new crater 65 feet wide (20 meters). The crash sparked a bright flash of light that would have been visible to anyone looking at the moon at the time with the naked eye, NASA scientists say.
“On March 17, 2013, an object about the size of a small boulder hit the lunar surface in Mare Imbrium,” Bill Cooke of NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office said in a statement. “It exploded in a flash nearly 10 times as bright as anything we’ve ever seen before.”

(LiveScience) Invasive fire ants have been a thorn in the sides of Southerners for years. But another invasive species, the so-called “crazy” ant — that many describe as being worse — has arrived and is displacing fire ants in several places.
“When you talk to folks who live in the invaded areas, they tell you they want their fire ants back,” said Edward LeBrun, a researcher at the University of Texas at Austin, in a statement from the school. “Fire ants are in many ways very polite. They live in your yard. They form mounds and stay there, and they only interact with you if you step on their mound.”
Crazy ants, on the other hand, “go everywhere,” invading homes and nesting in walls and crawlspaces, even damaging electrical equipment by swarming inside appliances.

(GovExec.com) Huma Abedin remained Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff when she came back from maternity leave in June 2012, even though she worked part-time from her home in New York and was allowed to start a side gig as a consultant. Abedin was paid $135,000 by the State Department in 2012 as a “special government employee,” Politico reports. As The New York Times’ Raymond Hernandez explains, Abedin was not legally obligated to declare her income from consulting because she had become a part-time State Department worker, even though in official documents she continued to be described with her old title.

(The Hill) Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have “no choice.”
“We will not negotiate over the debt limit,” Lew wrote. “The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate.”
Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation’s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation’s debt cap.

(Reuters) Prospects for passage of a major immigration bill improved on Thursday when a bipartisan group of lawmakers in the House of Representatives declared they had reached a tentative deal, resolving disputes that had threatened to torpedo negotiations.
The breakthrough came at the end of a two-hour private meeting of seven Republican and Democratic negotiators. The eighth negotiator in this so-called House Gang of Eight was unavailable after undergoing surgery on Wednesday.
The final sticking point, according to congressional sources, was over whether illegal immigrants now in the United States who gain legal status under the bill could participate in the new healthcare law known as “Obamacare,” which Republicans want to repeal.
None of the negotiators would comment on how the matter was resolved. Nor would they provide other details of the deal.

Let me be clear, my objective in sharing prior knowledge of a mass casualty terror drill is to prevent criminal elements in the government from taking this drill live at the jamboree.
I want the good people in government to feel confident in maintaining accountability over one another. As an Eagle scout myself, I want the scouts to have a great jamboree.
FEMA JULY DRILL
I have been on the phone with two reliable sources connected with military and a well known private investigative network. The military source decided to come forward because of the Boston bombing and the evidence that it was staged by the FBI. The source provided information regarding a July FEMA mass casualty terror drill that has been kept a secret from the public. As I’ve previously said, it is not the announced FEMA/DHS/FBI terror drills that concern me, it is the unannounced drills that go live like Boston that concern me because real people can and do die. The source indicated that we need to scrutinize the National Scout Jamboree 2013 for a possible mass government staged false flag attack.
The leaders of the event are changing the location of the event for the first time in 30 years. Governor Earl Ray Tomblin of West Virginia has signed an executive order giving DHS, FEMA, and the national guard martial law police power over the event. “Thousands” of national guard soldiers will be there.
Governor “Tomblin said he expects several thousand National Guard from West Virginia and across the country on the ground during the Jamboree “in case of an attack … or health crisis.”” There will be 50,000 scouts there with their families. The source provided notes from a government source that FEMA is preparing an unannounced disease outbreak drill caused by conventional and unconventional terrorism in July with 4:1 ratio of mental and “sick” and believes this drill could be held at the Jamboree. Unconventional terrorism is chemical and germ weapons. There will be kill and wounded family members involving sociogenic illness which means that a medical condition will be shared by a mass of people. They will have multiple unexplained physical symptoms. There will be no clear start or stop to the event that will be long term inciting panic and mistrust of public officials. Being at this reserve, the scouts would be in the perfect location to rationalize a quarantine. Rioting/”breaking quarantine”, “noncompliance with vaccination and medical orders” as well as “resisting travel restrictions” are addressed in this powerpoint by the man named as the FEMA expert Steven M. Crimando overseeing the drill scenario If you look at his bio slide, he was a responder to both terrorist attacks on the WTC 1993 and 9/11 and Anthrax threat. In other words, this man is an expert in what would be the 9/11 scale of bio/chemical terrorist attacks.
WHO IS BECHTEL?
But this is not all. We need to compare the old long standing location of the National Scout jamboree to the new one, but first I wanted to know about who owns the new location. The previous location for the last 30 years is Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, an active military base near D.C. I would like to know who made the decision to change the location and why. The new location is The Summit: Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve. Who is the Bechtel family? Google: “Bechtel corruption” They’re bad. Think of it this way: If the Rothschilds are the bankers of global government, Bechtel = the engineering company of global government. Remember the company that provided the poisonous mobile homes at Katrina? Think Bechtel. They have had construction contracts all over the Middle East = war profiteering. Remember all that waste in rebuilding after the first Iraq war? Think Bechtel. $680 for just a year and a half of work at the beginning of the war that blossomed into billions for them even though their works was a failure over and over. I did a search at usaspending.gov for the recipient “Bechtel” from and got back $53,760,324,263 in awarded contracts between 1999 and now. These are also the bastards that privatized Bolivia’s water supply raising the cost of water %50. After they were kicked out of the country due to the people rioting, Bechtel sued them for $50 million and received 30 cents because of international pressure. Remember the story about the corporation who first made the collection of rain water illegal? Think Bechtel. Bechtel = Blood for Water (see their logo below: bloody water/water wars) Here are their contributions
They play both sides of the isle giving to Obama and Romney in true globalist fashion. Who is their favorite politician of all? Diane Feinstein (Mrs. disarm America and defend Obama on Benghazi). That should tell you something. “Bechtel Meets Goals on Fewer Than Half of Its Iraq Rebuilding Projects, U.S. Study Finds” “Bolivia’s Struggle for Water”
In sum, if you were evil and you wanted to sponsor a terrorist event on your property because that is who you are? Think Bechtel.
NEW VS. OLD JAMBOREE LOCATION
National Scout Jamboree 2013 disaster threat analysis of old site. Below is the location of the jamboree for the past 30 years. It is an active army base. So, in the event of a terrorist attack at the jamboree with 50,000 scouts, you would be in an ideal location, because you would have all the military defense capabilities with the emergency response such as hazmat for chemical attack. You can bring supplies right to the front door of the location on trucks at highway speeds. You can get in and out easily of the location if you need to evacuate. You have complete communication with the rest of the world. If you’re there you have a cell phone signal everywhere you go to call for an emergency or stay in contact with your family. This is the old location of the jamboree for the past 30 years.
National Scout Jamboree 2013 disaster threat analysis of new location. The main body will be at the villages that you can see in the center of the picture as two clearings. There are towns to the northwest with the highway. The events are spread across the reserve of mountainous terrain. If there is an emergency near the summit, how are you going to see the people? Look at the tree cover of the new location. Notice they had to draw the road on the map because you cannot see the road from the sky due to tree cover. There is one road up to the summit and down. However, there are supposed to be numerous helicopter pads. The road is a likely narrow and as you can see curving. It will not be highway quality as in the case of Fort A.P. Hill base. You could not cover that with many emergency vehicles easily even if you had them on hand as you would be able to on a military base. Also if you are the one stuck up on the summit needing help, how do you know you’ll have a cell phone signal to call for help? It’s clear that you will not have the resources you would at the Fort A.P. Hill base. It’s much less secure and unguarded if someone wanted to enter the camp from any direction. The trees would hide them on their way in and out.
Here is a picture of the interactive map from the jamboree website so you get a feel for the terrain and how spread out the activities are. If there were a disaster or terrorist attack as their Governor Tomblin has suggested, it would be a nightmare trying to help these people. Do you see the roads on the interactive map to the various locations? Neither do I. 50,000 scouts. It’s a recipe for disaster. I’m an Eagle scout and I know what scouts are like. Setting aside all terrorism, there are so many safety reasons why you would, for the past thirty years, put the jamboree on a military base and not on some reserve such as this.

- Gay pride rally in Georgia derailed by admin
(Associated Press) Thousands of anti-gay protesters, including Orthodox priests, occupied a central street in Georgia’s capital Friday, with some threatening to lash with stinging nettles any participant in a gay pride parade which was to take place there.
Police in Tbilisi guarded several dozen gay activists and bused them out of the city center shortly after they arrived at the gathering. Those occupying the street held posters reading “We don’t need Sodom and Gomorrah!” and “Democracy does not equal immorality!”
Police, however, failed to prevent scuffles, which resulted in 16 people getting injured, the ambulance service said.
